Bujinkan Nintai Jisei Dojo

About Nintai Jisei Dojo

The Bujinkan Nintai Jisei Dojo was founded in 2015 by Glenn Manry, oringally in Sheridan, Wyoming and was called the Sheridan Bujinkan Dojo. Glenn Manry has since moved to Swift Current, Saskatchewan and renamed the dojo in a fashion reflecting its path and principles. Since its founding, ithe dojo has focused on sharing the art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu.

The word "dojo" (道場) is often translated as "school," but that translation fails to capture the depth of the word. Translated literally, "dojo" means something closer to "the place of the way." It is considered to be a sacred place for the transmission of a traditional method of some sort, such as a martial art or tea ceremony (Cha-do 茶道). The word comes from "dojo-ji" (道成寺) which was an adjunct facility to a Buddhist temple where learning took place.

In 2019, Glenn Manry (instructor of the Dojo) refocused his efforts on re-discovering Budo Taijutsu through deeper principles within the traditions.  The dojo is establishing itself in its new location, and has students still in Wyoming carrying on their training.
